The SAVEDpreneur™ Spotlight: Robert Blue II, Film Director & Creative

I had an epiphany in 2016. I saw everything in my life that had happened up to that point and all of what would come after. The reason for my life made sense in that moment, and it was a confirmation of a blessing from God.

Robert Blue II has been set apart since day one — and he will be the first to tell you that it took years to understand what that actually meant. A visionary raised by a father he credits as one of the greatest influences in his life, Robert had an epiphany in 2016 that changed everything. He saw his life — everything that had happened and everything that would come after — in one moment of clarity. Since then, he has been walking toward one assignment: building an ark. Not a physical boat, but a vessel large enough to carry people who feel lost in this world back to something solid. He is a filmmaker, a leader, and a man still becoming who God told him he was.

Let's lean in.

Tell us who you are and what makes your God-given purpose different from others?

My name is Robert Blue. I am a visionary and from a young age I have been set apart in my community. I have been taught from day one by the greatest father one could have how to be great in this world. It took me many years to understand what set me apart, but my calling is to take what I have learned and become a leader. My purpose is to use my voice, my thoughts, my mind, and my calling to be a shepherd for those who feel lost in this world.

What was your first encounter with God and how did you know you were saved?

I had an epiphany in 2016. I saw everything in my life that had happened up to that point and all of what would come after. The reason for my life made sense in that moment, and it was a confirmation of a blessing from God.

Many of us want to be successful. What does success mean to you?

Success means to be generous to yourself and others when you want to.

Feeling lack to the point where you cannot be who you truly are to the people around you — that is not success.

If you could partner with anyone to fulfill your vision, who would you work with and why?

I want to partner with my wife to fulfill my vision. I am not sure who she is yet, but I feel like she should be there. When I think about my future, I most often think about my family.

What does being a SAVEDpreneur™ mean to you? What is your kingdom assignment and how are you carrying out your assignment now?

I used to take being saved for granted, but then I realized not that many people are saved. SAVEDpreneur™ means to me someone who is forthcoming and honest about the role of Christ in their life, and who has learned to put the Lord first over worldly desires.

What did God call you to build, and how did you know? What steps did you take to be obedient? How quickly did it take you to answer the call?

God called me to build an ark that can sustain a countless number of people. I have walked the path toward building that every day since my epiphany. It has not manifested the way I want yet, but it is clear how quickly victory is approaching.

Where did obedience cost you something—money, time, identity, approval? And how did you handle the tension?

Obedience has cost me all of my worldly possessions. It is a struggle. But the biggest struggle is not knowing when those things might come back. I find comfort in knowing that where I am now is greater than where I was then. I am confident in the Lord.
