The SAVEDpreneur™ Spotlight: Mallory Lynch, Founder of Misfit Masterpieces & Biblical Life Coach
To be obedient I started with what I had. I said yes before I felt qualified. When God called I answered quickly, not because I was ready, but because I knew delayed obedience is still disobedience.
Mallory Lynch is a third-generation set-free alcoholic who, by the world’s math, should not be here. But God had other plans. As the founder of Misfit Masterpieces, she is a biblical life coach, spoken word poet, and woman in recovery who walks with women who feel like misfits: in the pew, in their own skin, and in the life they survived. She coaches them back to who God says they are. She writes poems from their stories so they can hear their own lives told with beauty. And she builds spaces where women who have been through the darkest of dark can finally feel like they came home. Find your heart. Become His art. That is the whole thing.
Let's lean in.
Tell us who you are and what is your God-driven purpose?
I am Mallory aka Mal. A biblical life coach, spoken word poet, woman in recovery, and the founder of Misfit Masterpieces. I am a third-generation alcoholic who should not be here by the world’s math, but God had other plans and I have the scars to prove it.
My purpose is to walk with women who feel like misfits, in the pew, in their own skin, in the life they survived. I coach them back to who God says they are. I write poems from their stories so they can hear their own lives told with beauty. And I build spaces where women who have been through the darkest of dark can finally feel like they came home.
Everything I do lives at the intersection of faith, identity, and healing. Not because I have it all together, but because I have been in every valley I walk women through, and God knows the way out while I hold their hand to remind them they are not alone.
Find your heart. Become His art. That is the whole thing.
What does it mean to be saved and how do you live a saved lifestyle?
Being saved means Jesus rescued me when I was not even sure I wanted to be rescued. He forgave me, made me new, and told me I belonged to Him now, and that changed everything. 2 Corinthians 5:17 is not just a scripture for me. It is my testimony.
Living saved means I stay close to Him. Not perfectly. I am still learning and still surrendering. But I keep coming back. I trust Him when life shakes me. I try to be still and know He is God even when everything in me wants to take the wheel back. Psalm 46 lives in my bones: God is within me and I will not fall. That is how I get up every morning.
My saved lifestyle is not a performance. It is a posture. Hands open with a willingness. A heart soft with a tenderness. And eyes always on Jesus. Without His grace I would be in the grave.
Success in the Kingdom looks different from the success of the world. How do you explain the difference?
The world measures success in money, numbers, status, and applause. The Kingdom measures it in one word: obedience.
That is it. That is the whole thing.
The world celebrates what is visible. Jesus celebrates what is faithful. The world says build a platform. The Kingdom says steward the one I gave you. The world celebrates followers. The Kingdom celebrates disciples. The world celebrates crowns you can hold. Heaven celebrates the ones you lay down at His feet. (Revelation 4:10-11)
For me, success is not how many clients I have or how many books I sell. It is how faithfully I walked out what He asked of me. It is how many women I pointed back to Jesus. It is how surrendered my heart stayed along the way.
Plant seeds. Trust the harvest to God. That is Kingdom success. (1 Corinthians 3:6-7, John 15:16, Colossians 3:23-24)
What does having “vision” mean to you? What is your vision?
Vision is not ambition. Vision is direction. It is the God-given picture that keeps you steady and obedient when nothing around you makes sense yet. Proverbs 29:18 says without vision people perish, and I believe that. Vision is what keeps you moving when the in-between feels endless.
My vision is for the misfits. The ones who have been misunderstood, overlooked, or labeled too much. The ones who walked through the darkest of dark and still found the strength to dust off and rise. The ones hell fought hard for but Heaven called chosen. I am called to them because I am one of them.
I believe God takes what the world calls a mess and turns it into a masterpiece, because we are His workmanship and He is the Artist. (Ephesians 2:10) My vision is to create spaces where women feel seen, safe, and strengthened. Where their broken pieces are not hidden but held, shaped, and transformed by the One who never wastes anything.
Through coaching, spoken word poetry, and storytelling, I want to help women hear their own stories told with beauty. Because sometimes you need someone to hold your words up to the light before you can see what God was doing in them all along.
At the end of my life I do not want to be known. I want to be found faithful.
What does being a SAVEDpreneur™ mean to you? What is your kingdom assignment and how are you carrying out your assignment now?
Being a SAVEDpreneur™ means my business was surrendered to Jesus before it was ever successful to the world. He called me to it before I knew it existed and I build from obedience, not ambition. My voice, my offers, my work, all of it is led by the Holy Spirit, not by trends or pressure. I am not running a business. I am stewarding an assignment.
My Kingdom assignment is to serve the misfits. The ones hell fought hard for but Heaven called chosen. Right now I am carrying it out through three things.
Through Dust Off and Rise coaching, I walk women one-on-one through identity, calling, faith, and becoming. I meet them in the valley because I know every valley they are in.
Through The Listener Poet Experience, I sit with women and listen to their stories, the scars, the survival, the grace, and I write a poem that captures what God was doing in them all along. It is the most sacred thing I offer. Because sometimes a woman needs to hear her own story told with beauty before she can believe it was ever worth telling.
Through Misfit Heart, my free monthly gathering for women, I build the kind of community where no one has to do life alone anymore.
All of it points back to the same thing: you are not too broken. You are not too far gone. You are His workmanship and He is not done with you yet.
What did God call you to build, and how did you know? What steps did you take to be obedient? How quickly did it take you to answer the call?
God called me to build a space for the misfits, a place where their stories, scars, and messes could be seen as art. I knew it was Him because this vision would not leave me alone. It stayed on my heart for years. A steady pull. A holy nudge that kept returning in prayer, in Scripture, and in the quiet moments at 2am when I thought everyone else was asleep.
I also knew because the enemy fought it hard. I believe if I ever had the courage to awaken this vision, the voice God placed inside me would break chains. And that terrified hell. Which told me everything I needed to know about whether it was worth building.
To be obedient I started with what I had. I said yes before I felt qualified. I began coaching women one-on-one, sharing my story out loud in rooms that scared me, and creating spaces where women could feel safe, seen, and strengthened.
When God called I answered quickly, not because I was ready, but because I knew delayed obedience is still disobedience. Now I steward this assignment with reverence and trust God with the timing, the growth, and the women He is preparing to find this space.
Where did obedience cost you something—money, time, identity, approval? And how did you handle the tension?
Obedience cost me everything that felt safe. I kissed death multiple times for the life I live today. Not my will be done, but the Father’s.
It cost me easy income and predictable stability. It cost me my pride, because stepping into this calling meant admitting I did not have it together. It cost me the version of myself that stayed small to keep the peace. And it cost me the approval of people who could not understand why I would build something like this when I could have just gone back to what I already knew how to do.
But I knew what I was trading for: the oil of the anointing, not the illusion of control. And that trade was worth it every single time.
The tension was real. There were seasons where obedience made no sense on paper. Where it felt like I was losing more than I was gaining. Where I had to trust God with a vision that felt too big for me and too quiet for anyone else to see yet.
I handled the tension by staying close to the Father’s heart. Reminding myself that He loves His daughters and asked me to shepherd them the way He shepherded me in the valley. That truth steadied me when obedience felt like it cost too much.
He was always worth it. He still is. Either God is everything or nothing. There is no in between. Today, I will not run away from the Father but instead hit my knees for my sisters who are lost.
What upcoming projects are you working on that you want our readers to know about?
God is unfolding it in real time and I am just trying to keep up with Him.
My story was just published in the Called Creatives anthology Peace Be With You, a collection of women who said yes to God when it made no sense, and it is available right now on Amazon. That one still does not feel real to me.
I have coaching spots open right now for women who are ready to do the real work: identity, calling, faith, the hard and holy stuff. And I have something else I want women to know about because I do not think anything else like it exists: The Listener Poet Experience.
I sit with you for an hour. I ask you questions and I listen, not just to your words but to the heart behind them. To what God is highlighting. To the things you are saying without knowing you are saying them. Then I take everything I heard and I write you a poem. A completely unique poem built from your story, your testimony, your life. Something you can hold on the hard days when you need to remember who you are.
I also have Misfit Heart, a free monthly gathering for women who are done doing life alone. Right now it is small and intimate and I love that about it. But the seeds are planted and I believe God is growing something here I cannot fully see yet.
