Before you can make the money, you have to do the work on yourself first.

I know that sounds like something you would see on a motivational graphic. But I want to tell you a real story that happened in real time, with a real client, in under a month. Because sometimes the best way to make a point is to just show you the receipts.

The $5,000 Breakthrough

One of my clients participated in The Council, our one-day intensive, and then continued into our advisory container. In less than a month of us working together, she made $5,000 in a single day. To be exact, it had not even been a full month. It will actually be a month and about eight days from our Council day to the moment she hit that number. So in roughly three weeks, she made more money than she invested. And we were just getting started.

But here is what I need you to understand. That $5,000 did not come from a new marketing strategy. It did not come from a rebrand or a new funnel or a social media formula. It came from doing the work on the inside first.

What Was Actually Blocking Her

Before she came to The Council, this woman had tried everything. She had invested thousands upon thousands of dollars into marketers and business strategists and people who were supposed to help her grow. None of it worked. Not because she was not talented. Not because her offer was not valuable. But because the inner work had not been done yet, and no amount of external strategy can sustain what internal alignment has not yet built.

She was feeling defeated. She was questioning whether she was even hearing from God about who to trust and who to work with. And on top of all of that, she has a heart for people. A genuine, deep heart. So whenever someone could not afford to work with her, she made concessions. She lowered her prices so dramatically that she was not even making a profit. She was literally giving away her gifts.

We had to deal with that. Not just as a pricing problem, but as a mindset problem. As a worthiness problem. As a spiritual problem.

Because when you consistently undervalue what God placed in you, that is not just bad business. That is a misalignment between what you believe about yourself and what God says about you.

This is where the 6 dimensions of wellness come in. At Lead and Influence, we look at the whole person across six dimensions: spiritual, mental, emotional, relational, physical, and financial. And what I have learned from working with clients is that when your mental and emotional state are out of alignment, it bleeds directly into your spiritual life. And when your spiritual life is blocked, your financial flow suffers. You cannot separate the dimensions. They are all connected. Money is downstream from mindset, and mindset is downstream from healing.

What Changed Everything

Three things happened that shifted her results, and I want to walk you through all three because each one matters.

First, we did the work on the person. We identified what was blocking her. We looked at her across all six dimensions and found where the gaps were. We addressed the thinking pattern that had her giving away her value and helped her see just how much what she offers is actually worth. That inner work created the foundation for everything else.

Second, she got into the right community. Everyone in The Council had different businesses and different focuses. But everyone was a believer. And because of that, they could all understand impostor syndrome. They could all understand navigating guilt. They could all understand what it feels like to pivot or transition in business and wonder if God is still in it. She got into a room where she was not alone. Where people could touch and agree with her. Where she could look around and see her own reflection in someone else's journey and realize, I am not crazy. I am not behind. I am just in process.

That matters more than most people give it credit for.

Third, she followed the plan. This is where the rubber meets the road. Because doing the inner work and finding your community will only take you so far if you are not willing to execute. She positioned her offers at the price they deserved. She showed up. And then I surprised her.

She did not ask me to come. I did not tell her I was coming. But I popped up on one of her webinars and started doing live coaching with her in real time. I was literally texting her what to say while she was presenting. And here is what I was coaching her on: engagement. One of the foundational rules of sales is that a person needs to say yes at least seven times before they make a buying decision. You also need them to tell you their own pain points, because when you address those pain points back to them, they are literally saying yes to you because you are speaking their own language back to them. You are not selling. You are solving.

Every time she did what I told her to do, we got the result we were looking for. The energy in that webinar shifted in real time. The room got primed. And out of that one webinar, roughly half the people on the call booked a continuation with her. All she needed was two clients to hit $5,000. She got them. And we are still working those leads.

What I Want You to Take From This

Money is a mindset. What you think about money is what money will bring about in your life.

If you believe you are not worth full price, your clients will sense that before you ever say a word. If you believe your gifts are too small to charge for, you will keep giving them away. If you believe that success is for other people and not for you, you will keep watching other people succeed while you wonder what you are doing wrong.

But here is the other side of that. When you do the work on yourself, when you deal with what is blocking you mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, the financial dimension starts to open up. Not because you manifested it. Because you aligned with it. Because you got out of your own way and let God flow through the gifts He already placed inside of you.

So here is what I want you to do.

Do the work on yourself. Get into community.

Find people who are believers, who understand the intersection of faith and business, who can see you and push you and pray with you and tell you the truth. And get an adviser. Not just a coach who will hype you up, but someone who will sit with you, look at your whole life, identify what is blocking you, and give you a real plan.

You can start right now. Join our free Facebook community and get into the room with people who are walking this out together. As we go deeper in God, all the answers you need will come to fruition. Because that is what happens when you stop building alone and start building aligned.

The money is waiting. But first, do the work.
