The SAVEDpreneur™ Spotlight: Erica D. Parker, Founder of Corporate Parker
Perhaps the greatest surrender was letting go of the identity I had built for myself. God required me to release my limited view of who I thought I was so that I could step into the bigger vision He had for my life.
Erica D. Parker is a builder of builders. As a consultant, coach, author, and trauma-informed strategist with a background in counseling, psychology, corporate leadership, and neuroscience, she has spent her career helping leaders heal from the inside out and build from a place of wholeness. From leaving a six-figure corporate career to moving 18 hours from home in obedience to God, Erica’s story is one of radical surrender and the kind of faith that does not wait until it feels safe.
Let's lean in.
Tell us who you are and what is your God-driven purpose?
My name is Erica D. Parker. I am a consultant, coach, and author who helps leaders turn God-given vision into reality. With a background in counseling, psychology, corporate leadership, and neuroscience, I work as a trauma-informed strategist helping believers overcome the internal and structural barriers that keep them stuck.
My calling is to build builders — equipping leaders in the marketplace and corporate spaces to clarify their purpose, strengthen their leadership, and establish brands, systems, and organizations that advance the Kingdom of God.
What was your first encounter with God and how did you know you were saved?
My first encounter with God happened when I was a young child, but I don’t believe I fully surrendered my life to Christ at that time. It wasn’t until my mid-20s that I had a defining moment that truly changed everything. I was sitting in the back of a church, and the Lord met me there in a very direct and personal way. In that moment, God told me to repent and give Him my yes.
If you had known me in my mid-20s before Christ, you would know those were some of my most reckless and broken seasons. So when God called me to lay everything down and follow Him, it was a real decision of surrender. I remember placing my shoes in front of me as a symbolic act of giving my life fully to Him.
Shortly after that moment, I experienced deliverance and inner healing for the first time. While I was on the ground being prayed for, the Lord spoke and told me that when I got up, I would be a new woman — and that’s exactly what happened. From that day forward, like the woman at the well, I never looked back. That moment solidified my faith and marked the true beginning of my walk with Christ.
Many of us want to be successful. What does success mean to you?
To me, success is not measured by how much you have, but by how fruitful you’ve been with what God has entrusted to you. In Scripture, God calls us to “be fruitful and multiply,” and I believe that is a call to stewardship for every leader. Success is about how faithfully you steward the vision, gifts, and opportunities God places in your hands. It’s about the impact you make for the Kingdom, the lives you help build, and the level of obedience you walk in. When you have stewarded God’s promise well and multiplied what He gave you, that is success to me.
What does having “vision” mean to you? What is your vision?
To me, vision is the ability to see what God has revealed before it fully exists. It is the blueprint of what God wants to build through your life. Vision is not just an idea or ambition — it is a divine assignment that requires faith, stewardship, and obedience to bring it into reality.
My vision is to equip and strengthen leaders who are called to build for the Kingdom of God. I want to see believers thriving in the marketplace, in corporate leadership, and in entrepreneurship, building organizations, brands, and systems that reflect God’s wisdom and impact culture.
Through my consulting, coaching, and writing, my vision is to help leaders heal, gain clarity, and develop the strategy and structure needed to carry out what God has placed in their hands. Ultimately, my vision is to build builders — leaders who will steward their calling well and create lasting Kingdom impact for generations to come.
What does being a SAVEDpreneur™ mean to you? What is your kingdom assignment and how are you carrying out your assignment now?
To me, being a SAVEDpreneur™ means building, leading, and creating from a place of surrender to God. It means recognizing that your business, influence, and gifts are not just for personal success, but for Kingdom impact. A SAVEDpreneur™ understands that their work is an assignment from God and approaches entrepreneurship as stewardship, using their gifts, influence, and platforms to advance God’s purposes in the earth.
My Kingdom assignment is to help revive the soul and strengthen the body of Christ, particularly leaders who have experienced trauma, burnout, or spiritual fatigue.
I believe many leaders carry incredible callings but are often wounded in the process of serving and building. Part of my assignment is to help bring healing, restoration, and clarity so they can continue their work in a healthy and sustainable way.
Right now, I am carrying out this assignment through writing books that help restore the soul and bring healing to the church and its leaders. I also operate a consulting and coaching practice where I help leaders and visionaries fulfill the call to build that is on their lives. Through strategy, trauma-informed coaching, and spiritual guidance, I help them overcome obstacles, clarify their vision, and establish what God has placed in their hands. Ultimately, I am using the gifts God has given me to help push forward the Kingdom of God and equip others to do the same.
What did God call you to build, and how did you know? What steps did you take to be obedient? How quickly did it take you to answer the call?
God has called me to build several things, but at the center of it all is a burden to build up and cover leaders. My assignment is to strengthen those who carry vision, helping them heal, grow, and build what God has entrusted to them.
I knew this was my calling in a few different ways. Over time, I received prophetic confirmations about my assignment, but God also trained me through real-life experiences. He began raising me up in corporate spaces, allowing me to lead, build systems, and even see six-figure success. But in the middle of that, He tested my heart by asking me to leave it all and trust Him again. It was another moment of walking on water with God — choosing obedience over comfort.
The journey of obedience started with deep inner work. I had to allow God to transform how I viewed Him and how I viewed myself. There was a lot of healing involved in that process. From there, obedience happened step by step. First, it looked like small acts of faith — leaving my corporate job. Then it required a much bigger leap when I moved 18 hours away from my hometown to follow where God was leading me.
I also had to examine my systems, my motives, and the deeper reasons behind why I wanted to build and lead. It was truly a process of God refining my heart.
To be honest, I ran from this calling for about two years because I never imagined myself as an entrepreneur. That was never part of my original plan for my life. But now that I’m here, I can’t imagine doing anything else. God knew exactly what He was doing, and His vision for my life was far greater than my own.
Where did obedience cost you something—money, time, identity, approval? And how did you handle the tension?
Obedience definitely cost me something. One of the biggest things it cost me was my pride and ego. When you step out on faith and follow God in ways that don’t make sense to others, you quickly realize that not everyone will understand your decision. My reputation was questioned at times, and there were moments when people spoke negatively about me or mocked the choices I was making — even people I cared about deeply.
It also cost me time and money. Walking away from stability and stepping into the unknown required sacrifice. But beyond the tangible things, one of the hardest costs was surrendering my own timelines and my desire for control. I had to trust that God’s timing and process were better than anything I could plan for myself.
Perhaps the greatest surrender was letting go of the identity I had built for myself.
God required me to release my limited view of who I thought I was so that I could step into the bigger vision He had for my life.
Handling that tension required faith, humility, and a constant return to God. I had to anchor myself in obedience rather than in people’s approval. Over time, I learned that when God calls you to something, the cost may be real, but the transformation and purpose that come from saying yes are worth it.
