I Was Born For This: A Declaration for Life
Be brave with your voice. It can set so many souls free. Trust that you’re making a difference everyday.
Chosen To Write
I am called to be a writer, so I let my pen speak for itself. I knew very early on that my words hold power. That every word I write in ink will set millions of lives free. I was born to do something greater than I can even think — deeper than you will understand.
Chosen Since Birth
There comes a moment in life when I stop questioning my path and start recognizing my purpose. A moment when the struggles, the tears, the healing, and the growth begin to make sense. That moment is when I realize — I was born for this.
Not born for comfort.
Not born for perfection.
But born for purpose.
Deuteronomy 7:6 — “For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be His people, His treasured possession.”
The Purpose God Gave
I spent many years trying to fit into spaces that were never designed for me. They shrank my gifts, silenced my voice, and I doubted my calling because the journey felt hard. But difficulty does not mean I was in the wrong place. Sometimes difficulty is confirmation that I am walking in the direction of my destiny.
I know what it feels like to carry pain, anger, confusion, and disappointment. I know what it feels like to wonder if healing is possible and if purpose can come from broken places. But healing changed everything. Growth changed everything. And purpose revealed itself in the very areas where I once struggled the most.
I am not my pain.
I am not my fears.
I am not my anger.
I am not confused.
I am not disappointed.
Under Fire
That is the power of transformation.
I was not born to stay stuck in survival mode. I was not born to live beneath my potential. I was not born to hide my voice or minimize my gifts. I was born to evolve, to heal, to lead, and to impact lives in ways only I can.
Purpose is not always loud.
Sometimes it starts as a whisper.
A nudge.
A calling you cannot ignore.
When I feel drawn to help others, to speak truth, to create change, or to build something meaningful — that is not random. That is an assignment. That was destiny calling my name.
Living For Purpose
Jeremiah 29:11 — God has plans for your future, filled with hope and prosperity.
I cannot recall a time when God asked me and I did not show up. Yes, I wanted to give up. I mean, 15 years into what I was called to do and yet still no visible fruit. I did it all — showed up faithfully even when the numbers made no sense, when I was low on funds, when I was tithing and sowing and investing in every way I knew how.
And here is the truth many people need to hear:
I do not have to have everything figured out to walk in my purpose.
I do not have to be perfect to make an impact.
I do not have to wait until fear disappears to start moving forward.
I simply have to say yes.
Yes to growth.
Yes to healing.
Yes to becoming the person I was created to be.
Against The Odds
In a world where trends and imitation are idolized, those who truly honor God and walk in purpose are rare. I had to learn to stand apart, even when it meant being looked at differently.
Ephesians 2:10 — You are created for good works that God prepared in advance for you.
Every experience I have lived through — every challenge, every lesson, every victory — has prepared me for where I am going next. Nothing was wasted. Nothing was meaningless. It all built the strength, wisdom, and resilience that carry me today.
Prevail Into Victory
So when doubt shows up, remember this:
I was born for this season.
I was born for this calling.
I was born for this impact.
I walk boldly.
I speak confidently.
I lead faithfully.
I have the courage to be who I am called to be.
What Set Me Apart
Boldness has set me apart from the world. While disobedience is honored by many, I chose the route that came with unforeseen circumstances, hidden lessons, and silent cries. I know what to do, but I do not always know what will happen when I do it.
I am not my fears.
I am not my tears.
I am not my pain.
I am not my scars.
2 Timothy 1:7 — For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
I Am What God Said
God calls me anointed and a delight — so that is what I will be. I will continue to write to break strongholds off the lives of those who read my words. I will do what I am called to do and share my light with the world, so that God shall get the glory through me and my story.
I Accepted My Calling
I learned that accepting who I am and why I am here is easier than running from something greater than my own understanding. I learned to trust and depend on God when I do not fully know what is ahead. My purpose made me better and gave me a reason to live and not give up. It was when I was not aligned that I felt like giving up on the call.
John 15:16 — “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit — fruit that will last — and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.”
For me, it is truly an honor to be used by God to serve others and live for a purpose greater than myself. There was a time when I struggled with the desire to live and could not find the reason to see why I was even here. I felt so much suffering and experienced so many mental battles at a young age. I often felt different — even to the point of not understanding why I was alive.
I struggled to know who I am, which made me a target.
I failed to know my purpose.
I did not understand my own power.
I did not understand the hand of the enemy early in my life.
My hunger for wisdom led me to where I am now. My hunger for wisdom made me grow through suffering so that I may be a help when God needs to use me.
